President Niccollai reported today that the Company and the Union are engaged in continuing negotiations in an attempt to reach a Contract Settlement by Saturday, May 18, 2019. The demands submitted by the membership for no co-pay family full-time medical and no co-pay associate medical are extremely expensive. UPDATE ON STOP & SHOP CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS IN NEW ENGLAND
President Niccollai reported today that a tentative agreement was reached between the Stop & Shop Company and the five UFCW New England Locals at early Sunday evening. The parties had negotiated through the holiday weekend with the hope of ending the eleven day walk out.
