UPDATE ON STOP & SHOP CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS IN NEW ENGLAND

President Niccollai reported today that a tentative agreement was reached between the Stop & Shop Company and the five UFCW New England Locals at early Sunday evening. The parties had negotiated through the holiday weekend with the hope of ending the eleven day walk out.

Specific conditions and terms of the settlement have not yet been released, pending the presentation of the package or ratification by the members of the New England Locals. As we get the specifics of the agreement, we will post the same on our website.
