UPDATE ON AHOLD eCOMMERCE  (STOP & SHOP) NEGOTIATIONS

President Niccollai reported today that negotiations continued throughout the day in an attempt to reach a contract settlement.

The Union indicated that no co-pay ACA compliant Health Care for both full-time and part-time members is a strike issue, and no agreement can be reached unless this demand is met.  In addition, we continue to stress the need for a generous wage package to complement our Health Care requirements.  The Company has repeatedly driven home the point that the cost of no co-pay Health Care is prohibited and that employees, in almost all instances, are co-paying for Health Care.

Negotiations will continue through the Saturday expiration date, and we anticipate another posting on Sunday updating the membership on the progress we have made.  The Union is adamant that unless we can deliver a contract worthy of membership ratification, there could well be a work stoppage and strike.
