KINGS BANKRUPTCY UPDATE

President Niccollai reported today that Kings posted another propaganda video designed to paint the Company as the best friend of all workers in their employ.  The problem with the presentation is that it is being painted with a broad brush as one size fits all, and it is not truthful or accurate. 

There are several facts we must address to set the record straight as follows:

President Niccollai reported today that Kings failed to attend the second Multiemployer Negotiating Session yesterday.  It appears that the Company may have fired their Attorney of 32 years who had participated in the first negotiating session.

President Niccollai reported today that since Kings Supermarkets has filed documents in the Bankruptcy Court your Union is permitted, as a matter of law, to discuss matters which were previously restricted by confidentiality limitations.

COVID-19 UPDATE : HAZARD PAY

President Niccollai reported today that we have concluded the ads directed at our Supermarket customers run in major newspapers, concerning the wrongful reduction and/or termination of “hazard pay”.

Our campaign for justice will now swing over to social media and will be directed at our Employers, again concerning the wrongful reduction of and/or termination of “hazard pay”.

President Niccollai reported today that in addition to filing grievances against all our Employers regarding the reduction and or elimination of “hazard pay”, we have also commenced a social media campaign asking for the help of our supermarket customers.  Attached herewith is a message that will appear in several widely circulated newspapers and on social media.
