AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT JOHN T. NICCOLLAI - TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2021

FINAST CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

President Niccollai reported that after a long session of contentious negotiations and some progress, there are still monumental problems that remain unresolved in our negotiations.  Your Committee has emphatically impressed upon the Company the fact that we expect the Industry Contract, including no co-pay for part-time or full-time Medical.  The Company has indicated that they have taken the position that with other Locals paying a portion of their Health Care they can no longer absorb the total cost. 

We have another negotiating session scheduled for Friday, November 19, 2021 which we view as a make it or break it day.  We will continue to pound away at the Company’s position regarding the Industry Wage Package and the issue of no co-pay Medical.

In all candor, there may well be serious problems and a possible work stoppage if we fail to reach the appropriate agreement.  Members should take these issues seriously, prepare accordingly and stay informed as to our progress on Friday, November 19, 2021.
