AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT JOHN T. NICCOLLAI - APRIL 10TH, 2019

UPDATE ON STOP & SHOP CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS IN NEW ENGLAND

President Niccollai reported today that the Stop & Shop Company and the five New England Locals met yesterday for several hours. At the conclusion of the talks, the parties scheduled another meeting for today, at which point the Company indicated it would present another proposal.

So far today, Wednesday, April 10th, the Company has not submitted a proposal and the parties have not held any further discussion. This series of events does not appear positive if an agreement is to be consummated.

We will continue to keep the membership informed as any new progress occurs.
