The General Membership Meeting for Tuesday, September 14, 2021 will be held telephonically at 7:00 P.M. Members who wish to participate should contact JoAnn Piscitelli at 973-256-6790 in order to verify membership and obtain access instructions for participating.
To hold the meeting telephonically, we must notify the Host Company as to the approximate number of participants. We must, therefore, ask members who would like to participate to contact JoAnn Piscitelli no later than Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
RETROACTIVE OVERTIME RECALCULATION PAYMENT FOR
EMPLOYEES OF SHOPRITE, PRICERITE, FRESH GROCER
AND WAKEFERN
Your Union is pleased to report that a routine audit of the payroll system of the above named Employers has indicated that certain shift premiums and/or bonuses were not included in the calculation of overtime for some associates. The affected Employers have corrected the issue and have recalculated the applicable overtime, which we expect to be in the paychecks issued on September 3, 2021. KINGS UPDATE – RETENTION BONUS – UNUSED VACATION PAY
Your Union is pleased to report success concerning the payment of the Retention Bonus now projected for inclusion in this week’s pay period. As you will recall, the Retention Bonus is $200.00 for full-time members and $100.00 for part-time members on the payroll as of May 31, 2021.
Your Union continues to fight fiercely for the payout of unused vacation time. Although we informed Kings Members to use their vacation before the sale of the Company, there were some members who were unable to do so.

President Niccollai reported that your Union has been vigorously pursuing the issues captioned above on behalf of our Kings Membership. It is our understanding that our Brothers and Sisters received their raises and retro pay with the checks issued for this week’s pay period. (SUCCESS!)
