CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY
President Niccollai reported this morning that Kings Supermarkets filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection with the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York late last night. The Company has assured the Union that business will continue as usual and we will not see any changes or modifications in the Collective Bargaining Agreement concerning wages, health care, pension, or working conditions.

STOP & SHOP DAILY HEALTH SCREENING FOR STORE EMPLOYEES BASED UPON
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK FOR OPERATING RETAIL BUSINESSES
President Niccollai reported today that under the guidelines adopted by the State of New York for operating retail stores a mandatory health screening must be performed each day before employees can begin work.

MODIFICATION – NATIONAL PENSION FUND
President Niccollai reported today that Local 464A, apart from maintaining its own Pension Fund for the majority of the membership, historically participates in the National Pension Fund for Full-Time Employees of Finast in Long Island and ACME in New York and New Jersey. The Local Union does not administrate this Plan; it is administered by a Board of Union and Company Trustees.
